Congratulations to Firefighter William J. Yates, this year's recipient of the Kevin M. Shea Firematic Participation Award.

Firefighter Yates has been an active member of the Elsmere Fire Company for the past seven years. Initially, Bill joined the Company in June 2006. Bill works passionately to develop his firefighting skills and contributes generously to the District's fire prevention efforts in the community. While requiring several short periods of leaves of absence to further his college education, Bill has completed the Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Apparatus Operator courses. Bill has served as Fire Lieutenant and is a member of the Town of Bethlehem FAST Team and the Wanderers Drill Team. Bill resides in the Elsmere Fire District with his young family.
