Jeffrey M Obernesser joined the Elsmere Fire Department on March 25, 2004.He was elected to the Office of Fire Lieutenant in 2008 and served in that capacity until 2016, at which time he was promoted to the Office of Fire Captain. In January 2024 Captain Obernesser was promoted to the Office of 2nd Assistant Chief and serves in that office currently. His main responsibility is with the District's fire apparatus and fire equipment.
